Some time ago i learned, what prophetic means and what it has got to do with musicians. I found hints in the bible, that music can really prophecy. The main muicians in the time of David and Solomon had the instruction to prophecy with harp, flute, tambourine and lyre. Other hints show, that music can really "talk" about god. For Example in Psalm 49:5 "I will turn my ear to a proverb; with the harp I will expound my riddle". The word riddle is in hebrew 'chiydah' and it means "diffcault question". The singer is saying: "I'll play my harp and it's up to you to find out what's its meaning."

Sometimes prophesying is not that much about telling the future, but about telling what is hidden to the natural eye. We know that the scripture tells a lot about the creation "talking" about god (Psalm 19:1, 50:6, 97:6). Therefore it is normal to expect that music can "talk" about god either. We just have to train our ears to hear, just like our eyes can be trained to see the works of God in his creation.

To be sensitive for prophecies, it takes an increased attention. We have to tune in to the nature of prophecies and know how it works, especially in music. Many have never learned, how to listen to gods voice and how to recognize it. For many it is not possible to look beyond what the natural eye sees and to sense, what is really going on. To be a musician who understands the prophetic meaning, we have to dig deeper, to get to the roots of this riddle. I think it is part of beeing an worship leader to include the prophetic aspect of worshipping to the service. We need to sense what the Lord is doing in each service just like in any other situation, when we're making music. It is like feeling which way the wind is blowing (some people don't recognize any wind, untill their hairstyle is ruined).

CD Release...

for two days now I'm working with olli to finish the booklet and afterwards we will start with the website...
I have just read an old post from the archives and there we thought we would release it in october... this is how it goes. After october came november and till march every month had its time. But the CD is finished now and Arno will send it to me tomorrow. It will take another 10 to 12 days till the CDs will be pressed.

On the 10th of April at 0:01 AM there will be the release of the website and of the CD.

It can happen that it will take a little bit longer until we'll receive the CDs, but on monday the new website with all Mp3s will be online. Till then we will give our best. Thats a promise ;-)

Jesus, you're so awesome!!!! We love you! Yesterday Frede and I fixed the dates for our tour ... the tour through Europe became soon a tour through Germany with a little bit of Czech Republic and Poland, because such a tour takes a lot of time... but let's see. Maybe next year we're touring through China;-)

Anyway, we're really looking forward to it and soon we will get started.

The tourlist is without warranty and just roughly the regions and many things can still be changed. Sadly we couldn't say yes to all requests, SORRY!!! We'll send you an email!

I'm so sorry

I was lying in Egypt with 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) (in the shades) beside the 26 degrees Ceslsus (78.8 degrees Fahrenheit) warm sea and therefore I couldn't post;-). It has been a really wonderful vacation and I relaxed a lot (till yesterday ... now I'm busy again;-)

Many things are going on right now. The CD is finished and this weekend it will be sent to be pressed and - if it's gods will - be released in the beginning of April.

Oli made a presentation for the booklet. It's 20 MB, but it's worth it, really cool!

Do you know, that you are the temple of the Holy Spirit?
If we know, that Jesus himself is living inside of us, why are we still crying to God: Come closer, Lord !!!

He is living inside of us. Could there be any "closer" than this? I thought about this point of view a lot in the past. And in the last few days i thought about it again and this thinking about the different forms of Gods presence really brought me into a palpable presence of the Lord. You see - there it is again, somehow God was closer on the outside and close on the inside. This is the way I understand the Psalm, where Dave says, that he can't flee from the Lord. No matter where he goes, the Lord will find him. And this is much more for us, because anywhere we god - and even if it's the darkest yunkyard, he is with us, cause he lives INSIDE of us.

And still I can shout for more of him, because I'm so seldomly conscious of that. And I think, that Gods presence is so great, that there can be different forms of his presence and the kind of presence I'm longing for so often is this palpable presence.
And this song is to unify this: God is inside of me, but I'm still longing for more of him !!!

The concert has been cool... the second band cancelled their gig, so we played alone. I had to sit behind a fucking plastic-wall and couldn't see anything, but it seemed to me, that the room was full;-) and from now on our season is starting again. Soon we will be in Geithain ;-) and in Dresden. Let's see what comes next. Frede recorded something with his label wohnzimmermp3diktierfunktionrecords, and we don't want to keep it back. At last... beside the service and our Mauerpark/Street-Actions we played 2 times in Berlin. One time together with Antidemon in the Magnetclub and a second time with several Hardcore-Combos in the RAW Temple. But that shall change.
On the 19th of January this year, we will rock the Aufsturz ... together with another band. For free! And let's see what's coming next...
Apart from that it's business as usual... the next days we will have a fix release-date. With 99% probability it will be the beginning of february...
I think here will be a formula for pre-orders soon. And if you transfer 1-2 euro for the postage we will send you the CD shortly after its arrival.

I'm right now typing in the texts for the booklet... on the 20th is the deadline for the design and on the 1st of February the CDs will be pressed, if it's gods will, the CDs won't catch fire and we'll get everything done. There are many things to do until then, but it's fun, too ;-). and tomorrow there will be a little christmas present from us... an unknown song from our new recording. It is just the rough mix (not mixed, not mastered, simply as we recorded it (i think there's a little bit reverberation on it)). But it sounds good...

The design...

The first tryings for the design are ready. The theme „circus“ has been rejected, even though it is very cool... but it didn't fit. Everything's going nicely. Arno is mixing, Oli is working on the design and we are happy. Our label supervision is ready to start, too. Everything's fine. And we have a really phat P.A. for our community now, which is standing in our rehearsalroom, YEAH... at last we can hear our voices and enjoy the bass vibrating our stomach.

And a little solicitation from my side: it is christmas time, for many the most awful time in the year... every year many commit suicide and are lonesome and desperate. Keep your eyes open and bring Jesus to the world;-)

As some of you probably already know, we will be on tour and we will start june 2006 (maybe a week before)... this tour shall not be a promotion-tour for the CD (wich is for free anyway ;-) and it shall not be a standard bandtour, but we want to drive through europe and rock with Jesus, playing on the street, preaching, starting a freakass-action or play in clubs or congregations.
This is kind of hard, because we don't want to have fixed dates so we can act on impulse, but on the other side we need some fixed dates, especially when we're abroad. But I'm sure, everything will go right. We get requests in any kind of way, which is definetly cool, but also chaotic...
If you would like to have us playing (in any form) next year, please send an e-mail at booking[at]obadja.com
about half of the time is still free (about one month).
We would prefer flexible dates, if it is possible. We will collect all these and in march or so we will fix some dates...
And up to then there will be positive answers only in exeptional cases. We apologise for any inconvenience ;-) we are looking forward to praise Jesus together with you and to confront heathens with god!!

I know that we planned to have always an actual english translation of our Blog for all of you coming from America, Great Brittan , the Czech Republic or whereever you come from. And I hope, these times will come back...

We had some problems, and therefore I want to send a big SORRY to all of you. I will do anything I can to present you a good english Obadja-Blog. In a few days I will publish the actual posts and more and mor of the former posts.

This is the first Blog-Entry I did for myself, so please excuse if there's something wrong...

The Unforced Rhythms of Freedom

this will be the title of our new album, which will probably be released at the end of january. Most of you know, that we're recording an album since the beginning of june. Last week we've been for the last time in Dresden in the studio. Now, everything is recorded and produced, but the mixing and mastering are'nt done yet. That will last about two months and then it will be finished.

We had the impression, not to sell this Album, but to give it away for free. We checked that impression an still think this is right. We decided today, that our album will be sold for 0 Euro. It is, to give away for free, what we have received for free. We don't want to make money with worshipping, but we want to give what we got to take people by the hand into the presence of the Lord and to praise him with all our heart, all our mind and all our strength. After all this CD is a declaration of love to god. We have done nothing to it... and we hope, that this album will be a present for many. From god for every single one of them.

The songs will be for free download on this website. Probably we will press 2,000 CDs first and you will be able to order them on our website, as long as they are avaible, everthing else will have its time.

I'm looking forward to it and I wonder, what will happen...

The advantage is, that nobody has got to burn an album, because it is for free anyway ;-)

so... last week we have been in Geithain. I can't say much to that theme, because most of the time i've been occupied by quitting to smoke, but according to the stories the other guys told me, it has been cool ;-). God was there and the holy spirit has done his works. In some parts the complete first three rows were knocked over by the holy spirit. They laid on the floor or had tears in there eyes because his presence was so palpable (I'm chagrin, that i didn't feel that. In my head it just went: i'm going to smoke one after this session ... NO, i won't ... YES ... NO!!!) What a pity! But Frede, Robby and Julian were concentrated and rocked. Saxony is a very cool region... on the last day we should pray for the groups. Normally i think this is stressfull. Hour for hour pleasing god to do what he does anyway... no.
But it was awesome. We formed groups and each group got two sheets of paper with one number on each to write down our impressions... every number was for one community and in the end some of the impressions really fitted close...

Tomorrow we will go to Löbau. We are playing together with Soulpatch. We are really looking forward to be in Saxony again ;-)
And because of that were going to Dresden to spend a few days in the Studio with Arno... maybe the last... because we can already see the release at the horizon. There is much to discuss and to decide but sadly it's all top secret (WHUUUUUUUAHAHAHAHAHA).
We will have to do some decisions next week. You we will read about it on this Blog first!! There are diverse possibilities and we have to talk to god and to Arno about that ;-)

And a bad news:
We quit quitting smoking. I quit it, because i've been eating all the time and i've been totally agressive the last weeks... The other guys are still trying. Julian is our personal hero. HE really got it!
It's unpleasant to tell this, but thers no help ;-)
I hope noone will lose his faith ;-)

Hey ho... let's go

in 10 Days we will play in Geithain. For many: no surprise any more... for us: everyday life ;-). Really strange, but then we will play the third time in 6 weeks in Geithain. Worship. This time on the meeting of the region of Saxony, which we merged with our region (we merged the meeting, not the region) (here there is not really a region... JF Berlin and a few freaks spread all over the county)...
We are really looking forward to it and it will be phat, because we will worship Jesus together with all the other freaks. Unfortunately we need to delay our trip to the Studio in Dresden... i'll call Arno and talk about that, right now. Speaking of the studio... Frede sent me a picture, which shows all of us. Thats really seldom. (And because Robby is in the Band now, it isn't all of us again... but maybe another time.)

On Sunday we (Obadja) quit smoking together. Great. And up to now it worked, but it is very hard for me (probably not so hard for the others). I've been smoking for 10 years now (with some breaks) and in the last few years I smoked more than a package per day. So I just locked myself in my room on Sunday and Monday going up the walls. I was in such a bad mood that i couldn't expect anybody to spend time with me (Thanks to my poor but patient wife!!!). But by now it's o.k.. And i think the worst is over...
God helps!

Geithain...

we just arrived from Geithain. It has been quite ok... It has been the first concert outside Berlin for Suspekt (Oi!!!), we had our first concert with Robby and hmm... Yes, right.
On the way home we cruised a little bit in the fields... where these extraordinary pictures were made (shot by Oigen).

Tirza, Simse, Kamü and Peacey have been with us, Storch held the prediction. But all in all it wasn't that cool... why? I don't know.... Jesus, we want more from you...
I am longing for Jesus and I think we all do. But what really bugs is this:
You are on the Highway, you are driving three hours, you arrive and turn the switch to „spiritual“. Thats Bullshit! I don't want that. Beeing all the time in Jesus, that is the answer!

I've just arrived from the airport. We said good-bye to Alan and Tina and in 30 minutes they will get on their plane to Orlando and then they will be far, far away. That has been too much, even for an extremely non-weeping person like me... I'm so sad. It's hard to say good-bye to friends who really love you. Alan wept bitterly and it had been the second time ever, that I saw Tina crying... schaissä...
But in May they will come back and for gods sake, jesus is still here ;-). On Friday we're going to rock Geithain with Suspekt and some folks from our community will be with us. Besides that we have a complete roughmix of our new CD and we're listening and marking down what has to be changed.
And here is our new and definite emblem, now with more „O“. Furthermore Olli and I will start tonight 7 p.m.:

God is great and all of us know that god has done miracles in the time of the bible. Sometimes we read in books (mostly non-german) that god is still doing miracles. And some of us have maybe seen a miracle. Just like us. Probably some of you have read the story about my purse (see Blog from June 21st) ... but yesterday god really flattend me.

We had a videonight with Al and afterwards (about 11 pm) we decided to have a rehearsal, this time with Robby... Julian had time, too. So we drove half an hour to back of beyond of Berlin, to our rehearsalroom. It has been really late and we carried a heavy couch for the room. In the end we stood in front of our room, with that heavy couch, i put my hand in my pocket but I couldn't find the key.

I searched every pocket, searched them again and again. But there was no damn key. I called some guys, if I gave them the keys, but I didn't, so it had to be in one of my pockets... But it simply wasn't there, no matter how long I was searching. At the end, Frede, Robby and Julian went back to the parking lot to search the car. And I was sitting on that couch in front of our rehearsal room and searched one more time for the key. But that damn fucking key was not there! Then i just closed my eyes and told god that this is real fucking shit, since we drove here for nothing, because I have lost the keys.
I sat there for a while thinking (where is that damnfuckingkey) and praying (god we need that key, pleasepleaseplease) and I opened my eyes...

And that fucking key is lying right beside me on the couch...

and it definitively didn't lie there before.

God... we praise your name, we want to be with you... at your heart!

It Rocks!!!!

Yeah yeah... we're spinning around and Jesus spins us around and everybody is spinning and happy... WHUHAHA. Therefore here is a the new blog entry.
Yesterday we decided to have a rehearsal. So we searched for a room, found one, rented it and played from 10 pm to 1 am... (sometimes things can happen fast;-). After being without a room and a chance for a rehearsal, we can play again. Exellent (awsome shit) stuff. Today at 9 pm we'll have our next rehearsal. And furthermore: At long last here is a cool looking Obadja emblem. Brand new... look here:

Yeah, yesterday we beheld a camper on a little corral here in Berlin with Frede, Alan, Tina, Timmy, Frauke, Andy and Morpheus. We got there with our bandbus, Frede came with his new camper (it runs with fat from the deep-fryer) and we beheld that awsome camper Timmy and Monique are going to buy for next year. As posted before, we are going on tour till Freakstock and afterwards Freakass-Roadrunner will take place, so we'll stay on the street, live in the camper and rock Germany for Jesus (oh! That'll be great) (it still isn't firm who and when... we'll see). It has been such an awsome feeling to stand there with these three busses and to dream and to talk about engines and interior equipment...

Asides from that: Tomorrow we'll get our new CD as a pre-mix!! I am sooo excited and we all rejoice like never before. Maybe the CD will even be realeased in this year.
From 11th to 14th of November we will once again go to Dresden for the very last fine-tuning... then it will take some time till the mixing & mastering is compleated, but finally then it will get going...

Rob Robsen in da house!

Our new temporary bandmember!

But from the beginning.
We have been (as written before) in Geithain on a meeting of the leaders of Jesusfreaks Saxony to do some worshipping. Since Julian was in Freiburg to meet his family and still had the information that we would play in Mannheim (which was short dated cancelled, so we short dated agreed to play in Geithain) it was impossible for him to get to the service in Geithain in time. For that reason Robby was present to step in for him. Robby is a gifted guitar-player and he loves Jesus and rocks! Yeah ;-) when Julian arrived (early afternoon), Rob switched to the guitar. Personally I have never experienced such worshipping. It has just been supernatural. I really got the whole nine yards behind the shooting gallery there. It has just been awsome! After the service we went to a pub and chatted a little bit and after a short time we simply asked Robby if he would like to become a member of the band. That really came all of a sudden but we were sure that it would work. And Robby really felt like that, too... but he wants to talk to god and think about it before he makes his decision. Anyhow, now he is in the band, till he changes his mind, and he will be with us in Geithain in two weeks. We'll see. From now on Obadja is a four members band. How long ? Nowbody knows. Really awsome things happend this weekend but when I would write them all down, everybody would grumble that a blog entry has got to be short and luscious.

this weekend we will play in Geithain on the meeting of the leaders of the region there. We are looking forward to it, especially because Alan and Tina will be with us. Those two will leave us in two weeks, but rather don't think about it, but enjoy the time we have together...!
In two weeks we will be in Geithain again ;-) together with Suspekt!

It is so awesome how much Jesus loves us and it's unbelievable what he has done for us. THANK YOU Jesus! Our Orangeburger bandbus came from the workshop today and it seems like it's running flawless! Thank you! Next week monday our new emblem will be finished and then we will start with the redesign of our website! That'll be fun (and hard work ;-).

Julian woke up on Freakstock....

Who is Julian actually? For all of you wondering about that, here are some facts:

Julian has a lucky relationship with Peacey, studies physics (probably the most intelligent one of us) and lives in Berlin-Friedrichshain. He is aboriginal from Freiburg and cares about the bass in our band and he always rocks on stage like there's no tomorrow....

Everything is fine with us. We try to make plans for the tour in June/July, but we still don't know a lot. We just know, that one week before Freakstock we will be in Saxony... that's cool!!
Next week we'll get the CD (rough-mix). Then we will listen to it until we know it inside-out, note down everything that bug us and then we'll go to Arno one more time and fix it.
So the CD will probably be realeased next year! But therefore it will be awsome!

Living with Jesus is nice! Rock on!

Back from Dresden

oh man.... that have been 3 intensive days.... but really great. It's incredible what can be done with some littele effects. We are really looking forward to this album and we are tensed how the album will end up. We don't want to produce just an album. And we don't just want to make good music or have a good sound. Rock Berlin is over and it has been really phat! On Friday we made a demonstration on the Alexanderplatz. It has been awesome. We had good conversations and prayers with jesusroggnroll. Very cool! On Saturady we had a worship-night in a nice club with our Jesusfreaks-Berlin-Bands. All in all 7 bands (YEAH!). Great night and holy spirit overdose. On the Alexanderplatz we met some guys (baptists) from California. They liked the action so much, that they wanted to invite us to California... let's see ;-) but it would be nice to have a little tour through the United States ;-).

Tonight we're going to Dresden with Alan and Tina. To Arnos studio and we will bring our songs to the right shape. I'm really looking forward. There will be more soon...

Frankfurt + Obadjavideo

This weekend we have been in Frankfurt with Alan and Tina. The guys from Frankfurt invited us to do the worshipping in their service. It's quite a long trip from Berlin, but it was really o.k. this time (6.5 hours). We slept at Saras house and had a really nice time with her (thank you Sara). There were people around all the time and we chatted and laughed all the time. The service was cool, too. We were prepared, that it would be difficult, but it wasn't. The worship was a little bit different (softie worship (by Nobbie)), but I have been showered by the holy spirit. Deborah held a really good prediction. Nice! (Jesus, you're really o.k.;-)
After that we went to McDonalds and after that buisness as usual: we played Nintendo at Saras house. I think we did that most of the time this weekend. We found a racing game (1998?) and sat in front of the game and behind us some other guys, who couldn't get there eyes away from the screen. ;-) All in all a very chilling, jesuslike weekend. Jesus rocks Frankfurt! Peace!

Yesterday I got an E-Mail with a video of our Gig in Darmstadt and modified it a little bit. Put some sound to it, but not just a sound, the roughmix of „Salvation“, which will be on our new album... so listen to it ;-). If it doesn't work, tell me, then I can make a divx out of it. Have fun...

We decided to go on tour.
It will start next year June and will last for two moths. We haven't planed anything yet, maybe we'll do the tour with another band together. Don't know. We want to stay flexible and play on the streets. If you want us to come to you, then wirte us (booking[at]obadja.com) we can come june or july. We play on the streets or in a club, service, party, whatever... everything is possible, noise for the lord! So, if you would like to, just write a mail. And we're still working on the CD, starting with the Artwork and looking forward to the redesign of our website.

Emo Mosh EP

Something on our own account...
Some time ago we recorded an EP on one day. There are four emocore tracks on it... we don't play them that often anymore, even though the hardcore is a kind of worshipping for us, too, but the songs are difficult to sing along and i don't know.... ;-) personally I like listening to it from time to time and I think it's cool even after the 500th time. So listen to it... at the end of this year our new worshipping CD will be released and we will pay the production by ourselves. But that will work only when we get the money, we don't have right now. And if you like hard/emocore then listen to the mp3 files (see them at "ordering CDs") and if you like it, then you can order one. If you don't like core, but want to support us, then order one, too and give it as a present to your children/parents/sisters/brothers/friends. We still have got 2 packages and hope to sell them. And a BIG SORRY to all of you who ordered a CD on our Website and waited very long until it came. From now on everything will be better. The ordering will now be completely by the Kultshopp. So there will be no problems with the shipping any more.

At 3 o'clock p.m. we met at our former rooms. Antidemon have just arrived from the Czech Republic and were really wasted. First we prayed (roggnroll) and then we (obadja) fetched something to eat, while antidemon had a little time to sleep. Then we started to the Alex (much to late), turned around (we forgot the generator), then started again, realized, that the permission of the police was still lying in the copyshop, so went to the copyshop, fetched the fax and drove to the Alex (really too late) and built up our equipment... then we started with Antidemon. In the beginning there were just a few people, some goths and punks who probably thought it would be a demonstration against Jesus ;-) but after a short time there was really a crowd. When Kleber played the first chord I had goose pimples and I saw demons running away in panic. Then Antidemon rocked (see the photos) and testified and preached (we had to fill half of the time (1 hour) speaking). Somewhen Battista did a calling and three guys came to the front and gave their lives to Jesus. (Yippieyeah!). Awesome. After that we played and preached... all in all very awesome, on any account!!! After that we talked to the people and prayed for them. I estimate that about 200 people were there. So it has been a service with more non-christians than christians... cool! We played often in parks on the grass, but as a demonstration an the Alexanderplatz, that has been something new and today wasn't the last time for sure.. Jesus was there and many things happend. Thanks to all of you that prayed for us!

6 p.m. the generator should be ready, the guitars tuned, the megafone on max. and the holy spirit ready (he is anyway).

Topic: We demonstrate against an atheistic society and we belief that the message of Jesus is the only salvation for mankind. And for that there will be Antidemon from Brasilia and Obadja from far away Berlin. We will preach and be a testimony and the authoriced offer already gave us the permission for „heavy metal for the Lord“

We have been in Darmstadt this weekend to play on the community founding party of the JFD. It has been nice, but the trip to there was really long (all in all 1260 km). Frede went with Alan and Tina to the Czech Republic this morning and this weekend we planed to play a concert in Minden, which we cancelled, because it is very stressful right now, and we need a weekend off. And it is cool this way, we are always on the way to somewhere and i can't remember the last time when I stayed home for one weekend. We sat together and checked our dates for this year and yes, it's full... which is really cool on one side, but on the other....
There is one date we are especially looking forward to: The 27th of september... then we will go to Dreden to Arnos studio for some days and have some changes on the CD. And then we will dertermine a fix date for the release. Olli is already creating a new brand. And he will do the artwork of the CD and build a new website. We are really exited and looking forward to this CD. As you probably realized the website isn't up to date any more and has never been finished (but even though looking great;-)(by the way: it has been designed by Olli, too, who even exhibited some of his pictures on this Freakstock).... And I will move everything important to this Blog and we will get slowly but unstoppable a new website. We decided that there will be no difference between hardcore and worship anymore, but we are doing hardcore worship (some would prefer the label: „weirdoworshippostcore“). But that doesn't mean, that we want to do everything hardcore style, but that we want to do straight worship, wich can be really hard. (Just like we did it before, just official ;-)

In love with Jesus! Freakstock 2005 is over...

We did the worship service on freakstock this morning at 11 a.m. and it has been awesome. In the first part (before the prediction) it rocked already. It's just so much fun to praise god with your family. Then Paddy preached (thank you Paddy). Awesome! In the end we went down from the stage and Taade came and said, that it has been good, but... He said what he thought and it was true. We don't have to become free or reach out our hand for Jesus and so on over and over again, but we have to realize, that we ARE free and that we are going hand in hand with Jesus. So we don't have to become free in every worshipping session and then experience god, we are free ALL THE TIME! We just forget this. We prayed together and I (and all of the others too, I think) have felt a deep passion for Jesus... I just wanted more, closer to Jesus, becoming ONE with him. After the prediction (yes, it has been really cool!!!!!;-) we played a little bit and i think there really exploded something. I can't describe it, it just has been....... good ;-) at sometime we had to finish, but the people wanted more and shouted for more. But there was nothing to do about it, because the timetable is really tight and the technicians start to deconstruct the stage directly after the last chord has been played, just to bring everything back in time...
Then the people started to shout „jesus“. Noone was on the stage then. We stood backstage and the people in front of the stage just didn't stop shouting. After 5 or 10 minutes of Jesus-shouting somebody said we should play just one more song. So we got back on the stage and played „Jesus send your spirit down“. Party-pogo for the Lord. And after that „Open the floodgates... let it rain“. I didn't realize, that it started to rain and just as we sang „leeeeeet iiiiiit Raaaaaain“ for the first time i thought somebody is pouring out a bucket of water right over my head. I've been totally wet, even though i was sitting on the stage. It has started to rain really intense and there were still many people standing in front of the stage..
Freaks and friends sang aloud with us. Then we stopped, but the people didn't, so we went of the stage and sang together with them. So we stood there... in the rain... and sang let it rain. I don't know, how long it lasted. It felt like an hour, maybe longer, maybe shorter. On any accont a really long time and I felt that it hasn't been normal rain falling onto us. God opened the gates of heaven and let it rain onto us. Living water! I think people standing for hours in the rain at 12 degrees Celsius (about 53 degrees Fahrenheit) have got to be people who are really in love with Jesus... or what?

and then we are going to Freakstock. We are looking forward to that because it is just a huge jesusfreaksmeeting with a lot of fun, sun and especially jesus. Of course are there things that don't go the way they should, but all in all freakstock is awesome, isn't it? We will do the worshipping on Sundays main seminar. Last year it has been cool, even though we preferred the gig on the Laud-Stage. On the Main-Stage you're standing in front of such a huge group of people that you can get the feeling you are playing in front of a wall and it is difficult to get a personal connection to the audience. Let's see, how it will be this time.

Julian and I have been to Force-Attack last weekend with keine-Leichen (no corpse). It has been cool, we spread flyer, prayed and asked god what he wants to do. I felt so much how god loved that guys around. It was funny, that some of the guys recognized us: „hey, you are from the jesusfreaks from the mauerpark“, or „jesusfreaks? yes, i know some, they are playing in the mauerpark sometimes.“ It is awesome to hear that the message is spread und god blesses us.

Frede has been with Alan and Tina on the Rainbow Gathering. I called him and he said, that it has been cool, too. I hope we'll see many of you on the stock. Till then!!!

Are there Zombies??

Since this weekend, this question is finally answered for us now. We found them in Görlitz. Here is a picture as a proof:

I really got goose pimples, as I saw those two guys by the roadside... the houses in this street were completely empty and those two were the only guys around...

But let's get to the nice things.
We (Alan, Tina, Obadja, Frauke, Tobi, Tobi and Kamü) have been in Saxony this weekend. Frede was on the Slot with some guys and we drove with our new bus to Dresden, slept at Arnos and most of the time slept, ate and played a 84 year old board game from Warner. Next afternoon Frede came with Al+Tina and Tobi to Dresden, we drank some coffee with Arno and started to Herrenhut. We already refueled our Bus twice up to then and realized, that the bus consumed 17 Liters per 100 Kilometers (that is about 13.8 miles per gallon). Damn! In Herrenhut we could eat from the wedding buffet (all in all: YUMMIE!) and a few hours later be built up our quip and played. According to a request of the bridal couple: „You don't have to start with hardcore-mosh songs“ we tried to play some relaxing and soft worshipping music, which was really cool after all. The worshipping was awesome and I've been more than smashed. After that we chatted endlessly at a cigarette and found out, that there are much to less divisional directors, supervisors, controller and quality manager in germany and that's the reason why nothing is happening. So we decided to install 80 division director in Berlin. Each division director needs a controller and a supervisor + mentor and directs a team of 58 team directors... for that reason everyone of us would have 7 up to 23 functions, what really would increase our self esteem... and it went on and on until we checked the system (the vision) again and again and ended in the result, that a group of 13 guys are in need of about 532 division directors plus 13 controller for each, who need 34 supervisors, who have to be managed by 4 mentors, who have got to give report to 34 quality ensurance teams with 84 team directors. So, if we pray a little bit and we do 2 training courses for every kind of leader (which have of course got to be held by special division-direction-training-directors) it is possible, that we could change something in Germany ;-). Somewhen about 4 a.m. we fell asleep. The next morning started with breakfast, and after that we went to Löbau to have brunch with some freax there and after that went to Görlitz to have some ice-cream and to the freax there. We built up our quip again, ate something and started to worship. And it was really awesome. Holy spirit, we love you! After that Alan preached and it has been really tight (just not to say „cool“ and „awesome“ again ) and he „hit the nail right on the head“ (quote Ronald). After that we had a long praying session and we drove back home with totally chaos in the head and holy spirit in the stomach. So we started something about 10 or 11 p.m. and first drove over the border to Poland to refill the tank and then on the highway. After 77 kilometers (about 48 miles) a quarter of our fuel was consumpted. So we calculated: nearly 25 liter (about 9.4 miles per gallon) consumption. FUCK! There had to be something wrong. So we stopped and called the ADAC (german version of the AAA), called ronald (please pray!!!). The ADAC came, looked at it and drove away again (sorry, i can't do anything about that...) Julian and I had the feeling, that it consumptes less, when we were driving faster, so we drove full throttle and it ended at 16 liters (about 14.7 miles per gallon) (thanks Jesus)... so now we will get it to a workshop and then we will see. All in all a very cool weekend. When I think about it. REALLY COOL! I'm already looking forward to the next.

We are just arrived from Ansbach as said before. After wee have been in Prag wee drove to Liberec to visit Monica, Tomas, Patrick and some others. They have been part of the organizing team at Freakfest and were doing an trip with there community somewhere really rural near the German-Czech border. We were there and just chatted a bit, did worshipping and prayed for them. In the evening Alan was to preach. It has been very cool, until he said it is time for Frede and me to go on... *gulp*. We had been in common that in each case the other one should do it ;-). In the end Frede did the credentials and Alan offered to pray with Tina for love and good relationships between each other and to god, because they have a gift for this. Frede and I prayed for passion and fire. First nobody came... and then nearly everybody came to the front and wanted us to pray for them. So we predicted and prayed as much as possible and i think it has been very cool. Just until a woman stood in the door and offended us in czech. Some minutes later we understood, that she tried to sleep on the upper floor and understood every wordaccentuated with guitarsounds and occasional screamings etc :-) a short glimps to the clock and we understood... (it has been about half past one already). So down in the cellar and continuing praying... God is just really cool guy! On the next day we started our trip to Ansbach just after a big portion of Schnitzel with dumplings and french fires. The trips with the Americans are always a lot of fun. Primarily because of Eric (remember? The guy from India who is an american too) who is all the time saying „schwainscheiss“ or „schwainflaisschsaiss“... then Alan adds his „schaisagail“ dazu and we are roaring with laughter... ;-). In Ansbach we were guests of Ingo and Alex and attended the divine service on sunday. It has been really awesome. First Frede preached and then Alan. And he really rocked. Sometimes i nearly didn't bare to translate because we has been really hard. It was about relationship to jesus and if the people see jesus in our lives. Alan did many announcements and it has really been a „kick in the ass“-prediction. (I fearedall the time that we would been beaten up afterwards ;-). After that we had a phat praying time and all in all it has been as usual: Awesome! God rocks and we are really thankful, that Alan and Tina are with us. So, this has been it... let's see whats happening next.

On the road in the name of the Lord

with a stop in Prague, where I am sitting at a czech keyboard nearly despairing.... Alan, Tina, Frede and I, visited the Freaks in Löbau yesterday and hanged around with them. Today we had planed to go to Görlitz, but we had the impression that we should dirve to Prague. And there we are. We will stay one day longer and then we will see... we met hier an american who moved to prague as a missionary. He was at Freakfest too and met us accidentaly on the streetm, in the center of Prague. After that we met Eric. He has just arrived from India and landed in Prague (He is an American too) and was a part of Freakass last year. He is a friend of Alan and Tina and we heared, that his airplane would land in Prague, so we picked him up at there. The missionary form America (don't lose the Track of it ;-) brought two friends from Colorado with him, so we had a big meeting in front of the Kentucky Fried Chicken in the inner city of Prague. In the end Sascha (we know him from Freakfest too) came along with some friends... really cool! Tomorrow we are going to meet the freaks from Prague to pray with them. We are really looking forward to this. In the afternoon it's time again to get back to the inner city for a freestyle-worshipping and a hangaroundwithotherpeopleandmakethembelievers-session ;-) or what ever. Let's see what will happen. Jesus rocks the Czech Republik

Awesome! Simply, awesome!
After a funny Roadtrip through Poland we arrived at the camping site near the Czech-Poland border Friday at 7 p.m. And we have been welcomed very dearly. After that we checked out the location.
In the beginning there were just a few people, but that changed rapidly. First we moved to our Band-Bungalow and waited for the other guys from Berlin (all in all more than 20 boys and girls). We visited the concert of Jumbo Jet (they rock!) and went swimming. On the next morning on more time swimming (can there be anything better than to stand up an wank 100 meters to the lukewarm lake and jump in?). After that the service started, where we did th worshipping and the worshipping was really saturated with holy spirit and we have been really smashed and just smiling all the time. It is really cool to see people loving Jesus and expressing it... the prediction has been very cool, too. After that wew continued chilling, chatting, swimming, eating (cutlet from veal, french fries, salad for 2 Euro – about 2,40 Dollar). Alan and Tina from the United States were with us and will stay a while with us in Berlin. The chairmen of the Freakfest had just spontaneous decided that Alan should predict on Sunday... In the evening we had our first concert for a long time again. And despite we all threee were tired and I had prefered to go to sleep, it really rocked... and a fter the 3rd Song there was no fatigue left. And after that we continued the already familiar chilling, chatting and swimming stuff.
At the next morning Alan preached and it has really moved us all. It was simply about the love of god and our relationships and it ended up with tears for many people ( for example for me) and with the extremely strong feeling that the almighty god really loves us... after that we gathered in the prayertent and prayed for all the chairmen in czech and what can I say... it was just awesome. God was really there and talked a lot. One more time tears and the assuredness: JESUS REALLY ROCKS IN CZECH!!!
Wir really thankful, that we could have been there celebrating Jesus together. An it fells good to know that you don't need a lot of structure, organisation, experience or money to create a veryweekend with Jesus and a bunch of czech, polish, american and german siters and brothers.
Frede went with Alan, Tina, Maren and Robbi to Dresden and Löbau and will arrive tomorrow in Berlin... All in all a very awesome Jesusfestival. THANK YOU JESUS!!

GOD IS SO COOL!!!

Even extremely cool. We started a roadrunner action today... we have been at various places, left the car unlocked with open window and my purse in front. When we drove home I realized, that my purse wasn't there any more. So we started to look everywhere... everything was clear. Stolen. Shit! I drove back home with the Underground without my wallet (and of course without a ticket) and of course there were ticket collectors. I have been ready for the worst but just like a wonder they didn't control me... (I have a ticket in normal terms ;-)
Then I realized that my ID Card (and the one of my wife too) were still in my purse and that we wanted to go to the Czech Republik on friday.... SHIT!!! i thought. It's even getting worse. I was in a really bad mood and asked god how this could be that we are doing action for him and my purse is beeing stolen. And in addition my ID Card stolen and maybe we can't play in the Czech Republic. Why???? So I come home, call Frede and ask him to search the whole car for my purse, just if maybe ....

then I adjured one more time to god, that he should do something (after I realized, that all my EC-Cards were in there). After the "amen" I go into my room and on the cupboard... lies my purse. Cool!!! I had it definetly with me (I bought some bootlaces in a shop and there I had it definetly in my hand.) Frede remembered that I had it in my hand too. And now it is on my cupboard. That is what I call a wunder. THANK YOU GOD!

Fete de la musique + Volxbibel

tomorrow is "Fete de la musique" in berlin and all over the world. That means everywhere (really everywhere) there are guys making music on the streets. And we will be one of them and will do some Roadrunner action... it will be really cool without any problems with the pigs ;-)

Martin Dreyer is writing the volxbibel. This is a transformation of the bible into slang german. Really cool and really ingenious. But then, it is questioned and some lowbrow-christians are going on barricades because words like "shit" are used in there.

...we have arrived back in Berlin. It was a really extreme action. All in all it has been 800 km (About 432 miles) and not 300 km (about 162 miles) as we thought. We started at half past one and arrived much too late (as usual ;-)). We played there in the CCN-parish house (Christ Center Neum#$uuml#unster). At the door there was a poster calling "Unplugged music, good bands, good music". Ok., it wasn't really unplugged. Rather extremely plugged. Unfortunatly there have been just a few people, so we took our megaphones (MEGAPhONES ARE COOL!!!... you should always have one with you) and went to the park round the corner and have invited some punx and alcohol or drug addicted. And they came and we started to rock. It was really cool i guess. Afterwards we had a nice talk with the guys from the Park and prayed for some... (jesus rocks) then back into the car and 5 hours back home.

Arno has mailed us 3 mp3s so that we can imagine how the CD is going to sound. The others haven't listened to it yet, but I listen to it already the 7th time... ;-) and in my oppinion it really rocks!! On our trip back home we talked about our "roadrunner actions" (look at: MAUERPARK ROCKEN) and realized that it would be cool to post some of the things that are happening, because sometimes very strange but cool things happen. I think I'll do it tomorrow.

Julian just called up to ask if we would like to play a gig in Neumünster? .... Tomorrow... yes, why not? So let's get on to Neumünster, what is lying somewhere north of Hamburg.

Yesterday, we met a guy in the Mauerpark (hello Jens ;-) who is a hobby-photographer and we chatted a bit and he said, that he would like to shoot some bandphotos of us. At a desperate US-Radarstation on the Teufelsberg in Berlin. I'm really curious. He wanted to call back today.

i have just phoned with Arno and we have chatted a little bit about our future plans... we are just thinking about the best way to sell the CD and how we could, may and should do it. If you have a good Idea to that: Just post it. I have called various labels... let's see.

We are planning to buy a bus. Though Fredes Playmobil is really cool (even if it is unsightly) but small. A real bus would be cool for the summer! So, if you have got one or know anybody who has one and wants to sell it, just mail us. If not: have a nice weekend!

ALAN, TINA AND THE CZECH REPUBLIC

Alan and Tina are coming... when Frede was in the United States, he travelled along with them. WE know them from Freakass, where they rocked berlin with us. They are coming for an indefinite time and will travel along with us... e.g. to the czech republic... to the underground Freakstock for 20 euros. GO THERE! were really looking forward to that. Dresden&Leizpig

We just arrived back from Dresden/Leipzig. We spent the whole week in Arnos studio recording our first worshipping-record... and it has really rocked. Intensive prayers and simply hardcore worshipping. I'm really anxious about the result. I hope you too. At the weekend we drove to a spontaneous Gig at the regional meeting in Leipzig where we supported the Freks with worshipping, praying and preaching. It was very cool and this region really rocks!! Thanks, that we could have been there... soon there will be pics from the recording studio here... the CD will probably be realeased in october. Were still totally spirit-moved (hope that won't change again) and thinking about the right time for our "roadrunner-action" how we call our music-playing action in the Mauerpark. We don't want to let our new "congregation" in the Mauerpark alone for too long... let's see

HOW TO ROCK THE MAUERPARK

since the general blog-hype has reached Germany and the Freakuniverse even obadja has its own blog. But the true reason was to get the News faster and easier online without always editing the newsanddates.html file...

Not a long time ago Frede and I had the idea to put the engl-amp with the 4*12 Box plus drumset, current generator & two megaphones (thanks to the Salvation Army) into our PLaymobil and to drive into parks, to unload (record: 70 seconds) and to rock! It lasts just minutes till more or less many people are standing in front of us listening, singing along, dancing....
and the most marvellous thing is that we preach afterwards (somtimes more than 30 minutes), but the people just stay and listen and many of them come to us for a chat or ask us to pray for them. Really cool all that ... the last time it just feeled like an Open-Air congragation. We just finished our session and after that somewhat about 8 or 9 people came to us to talk about jesus. So we sat down, opend our bibles and answered their questions. I have explained something. Then a few new ones came and the "old" explained them the coherence of the biblequotes... and i just sat beside and smiled. jesus rocks!
